There have been 124 non-syndromic hearing loss genes discovered to date [32], including 77 autosomal recessive nonsyndromic hearing loss genes, 51 autosomal dominant nonsyndromic hearing loss genes (11 genes GJB2, TMC1, MYO7A, TECTA, MYO3A, MYO6, COL11A2, PTPRQ, TBC1D24, CEACAM16, RIPOR2/FAM65B are both autosomal recessive genes and autosomal dominant genes). The gene discussed is RIPOR2; the disease is nonsyndromic deafness.
