Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) can be defined as the association of thrombosis and/or pregnancy morbidity with antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL), lupus anticoagulant (LA), anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL), and/or anti-β2-glycoprotein-I antibodies (aβ2GPI) [231].
