A cross-sectional study conducted in China, which enrolled 10,761 participants. Subjects in  quartile 4 of the TyG index were more likely to have NAFLD than those in quartile 1, (OR: 6.3; 95% CI 5.3–7.5) after adjustment for age, sex, BMI, SBP, UA, white blood cell count, and ALT quartiles. Here, GPT is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
