Overactivation of STAT3 in tumor cells can interfere with the antigen presentation process of DCs in various ways, such as decreasing the expression of BCL2 in DCs by inhibiting the expression of IL12 and TNF [38–40], and inhibiting the maturation of DCs and innate immunity by negatively regulating the expression of interferon gamma inducible protein 10 and CC chemokine ligand 5 [41]. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is neoplasm.
