We analyzed the correlation between ACOX1 and the EMT-related genes and found a positive correlation with cadherin 1 (CDH1), CDH2, cyclin-dependent kinase-like 2 (CDK2), and epithelial cell adhesion molecule, and a negative correlation with matrix metalloproteinase MMP9 and vimentin, suggesting that ACOX1 might be regulated by EMT and affect its metastasis in ccRCC. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
