OCLN and diabetes mellitus: After adjusting clinical variables (age, sex, family history of hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and current smoking), a high level of baseline occludin (>0.202 ng/mL) was an important factor, which could distinguish ICH patients from healthy controls (adjusted odds ratio [OR], 22.3; 95% CI, 5.8–86.1; p < 0.001).
