As shown in Table 2, for both male and female children, similar to the total, a significant and progressive increase in age, BMI, the incidence of hypertension, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, TG, ALT, AST, and γ-GT and a significant decrease in HDL-C were found in the non-NAFLD and NAFLD groups (p < 0.05 and p < 0.01, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
