As presented in Table 6 and Figure 1, BMI (OR, 1.503; 95% CI, 1.337–1.689; p < 0.001) and ALT (OR, 1.066; 95% CI, 1.049–1.084; p < 0.001) at the prepuberty stage were found to be two independent risk factors for NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
