As presented in Table 6 and Figure 1, for male patients, age (OR, 1.323; 95% CI, 1.128–1.552; p < 0.01), BMI (OR, 1.402; 95% CI, 1.284–1.531; p < 0.001), and ALT level (OR, 1.068; 95% CI, 1.054–1.083; p < 0.001) were also found to be independent risk factors for NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
