NAT2 and tuberculosis: According to the four denoted alleles, NAT2 could be classified into the wild homozygous fast acetyl type, i.e., *4/*4; the wild mutant heterozygous intermediate acetyl type, i.e., *4/*5, *4/*6 and *4/*7 and the mutant homozygous slow acetyl type, i.e., containing any two of alleles *5, *6 or *7 (Dong et al., 2020); thereby, we evaluated the association of NAT2 genetic polymorphisms in three different genotypes with ATDILI in TB based on the above protocols.
