BCL2 and in situ carcinoma: In brief, the CIS@AgNPs@PCL airway stent can (1) continuously locally release of CIS to the airway, which prevents the metastasis of lung cancer by up-regulating Bax, Casepase-3 and down-regulating the expression of Bcl-2 to maintain airway patency and prevent blockages, (2) inhibit pathogenic microorganisms in the respiratory tract and prevent the formation of bacterial biofilms, and (3) AgNPs induce disruptions in the DNA of cancerous cells, leading to enhanced efficacy of CIS-based chemotherapy.
