In line with this, we have identified in CTC-MCC-41 cells other promoter hypomethylated genes involved in the cadherin pathway (DH3, LYN, PCDHA1, PCDHA4, PCDHA5, PCDHA7, PCDHA12), inflammation (IKBKB, GNG4, CASK) or angiogenesis (DLL1, LPXN), suggesting that these genes could also be therapeutic targets for metastasis-competent CTCs in CRC patients. This evidence concerns the gene PCDHA5 and colorectal carcinoma.
