In addition to these validated genes, it is noteworthy that among the 852 hypomethylated and downregulated genes identified in CTC-MCC-41, we also found genes involved in pathways relevant to cancer metastasis, such as Wnt signaling (e.g., FZD5, LEF1, ACTA2, ARRB1), the cadherin pathway (e.g., CDH3, LYN, PCDHA1, PCDHA4, PCDHA5, PCDHA7, PCDHA12), inflammation (e.g., IKBKB, GNG4, CASK) or angiogenesis (e.g., DLL1, LPXN). This evidence concerns the gene ARRB1 and cancer.
