We therefore investigated the expression of Lp-PLA2 in tumours compared to normal tissues in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and found that Lp-PLA2 is upregulated in several types of cancer, including gastric cancer, oesophageal cancer, lung adenocarcinoma, and breast cancer (Supplementary Fig. 13a). The gene discussed is PLA2G7; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
