A total of 8 BPH-specific genes have been screened in our study, including ALCAM, COL6A2, CRISP2, FOXF2, IGF1, PTN, SCN7A, and UAP1. Some previous studies have reported their effects on the pathology of some diseases, which mainly focused on prostate cancer. This evidence concerns the gene CRISP2 and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
