Our results suggested that A-to-I edited hsa-mir-376a-1-3p and hsa-mir-376c-3p targeted BCAT1 and MTHFD2, respectively, and C-to-U edited hsa-mir-29c-3p targeted RASSF8. Presumably, because the A-to-I editing levels of hsa-mir-376a-1-3p and hsa-mir-376c-3p were reduced in ccRCC, BCAT1 and MTHFD2 were upregulated in ccRCC. The gene discussed is BCAT1; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
