Sunitinib is a molecular targeted drug used to treat advanced RCC, and studies showed that, in sunitinib-resistant RCC, METTL14-mediated m6A modification significantly enhanced the stability of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1), and overexpression of TRAF1 increased sunitinib resistance (Chen et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene TRAF1 and renal cell carcinoma.
