Similar to our findings in this study, in a clinical trial study by Shafieipour et al. (2018), which investigated the effects of CoQ10 supplementation on NAFLD patients, it was found that a daily intake of 60 mg of CoQ10 supplementation and also 800 IU of vitamin E in both groups for 12 weeks significantly reduced serum levels in the serum level of the liver enzymes ALT and AST. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
