Our previous study showed that quercetin given through a daily diet supplemented with quercetin (1%) or i.p. injection (10 mg/kg, 3 times/week) significantly increased the muscle mass in tumor-bearing nude mice exposed to trichostatin A (TSA), accompanied with the enhancing anticancer effect of TSA by significant downregulation of forkhead box O1 (FoxO1) as well as the downstream two muscle-specific ubiquitin ligases, atrogin-1and muscle ring-finger-1 (MuRF-1) [8]. This evidence concerns the gene TRIM63 and neoplasm.
