KMT2A and colonic neoplasm: Another important histone methyltransferase, lysine-specific methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A), which is responsible for the methylation of histone H3 (H3K4me), is highly expressed in leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein coupled receptor 5 (Lgr5) + stem cells and human colon cancer and is associated with poorer survival in colon cancer patients [77].
