Specifically, machine learning or deep learning algorithms trained on preoperative MRI were demonstrated to predict molecular biomarkers such as IDH mutations, 1p/19q codeletion, and TERT promoter mutations, or molecular subgroups based on IDH mutations and 1p/19q codeletion in adult gliomas with remarkable sensitivity and specificity [8–11]. This evidence concerns the gene IDH1 and central nervous system cancer.
