MCL1 and lymphoma: Several newer therapeutic targets—such as CD37, spleen-associated tyrosine kinase (Syk), phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3Kδ), CD19, myeloid cell leukemia 1 (MCL1), and B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) [11], receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 1 (ROR1)—have been studied in lymphoid cancers; however, targeting BTK has proven to be one of the most successful strategies for management of B-cell malignancies owing to broad efficacy across a range of diseases, safety, and dosing convenience of oral administration.
