A study showed that M1 at 10 and 25 mg/kg doses for 15 days inhibited the high expression of inflammatory cells such as IL-6 in DMH-induced CRC cells and inhibited the activation of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway mediated by IL-6 (Mishra et al., 2018); further, it downregulated the expression of enzymes such as LDH in CRC liver metastasis and inhibited the high uptake of lactic acid and glucose in CRC cells (Mishra et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and colorectal carcinoma.
