PROX1 and cancer: Notch signaling has been shown to suppress Prox1 expression, ensuring the appropriate specification of LECs from venous ECs.80 Notch targets have been found to exhibit oscillatory patterns during somitogenesis and muscle stem cell differentiation,81–83 thereby regulating Erk activity oscillation.63 Additionally, studies in cancer have revealed a positive regulation of Notch signaling by the MAPK/Erk pathway.84 There might be a relationship between Notch pathway with Erk signaling in regulating valve formation.
