Glucose-6-Phosphatase (G6Pase) and Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase (PEPCK) are two fundamental liver enzymes converting non‐sugar substances into glucose [4, 5], and their abnormal expression is closely associated with enhanced gluconeogenesis, which is referred as a marker of T2DM [6]. Here, PCK1 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
