CCK and hypertensive disorder: Hypertension is one of the most common risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease, and the hypotensive peptides found in plant proteins rely on multiple principles, including ACE inhibition, renin inhibition, proximity to the protective axis of the renin-angiotensin system(RAS), and cholecystokinin (CCK)-related vasodilation, but the hypotensive peptides that have been reported rely mainly on the ACE inhibition mechanism, so they are referred to as ACE inhibitory peptides most of the time [174,175].
