A decrease in the hepatic levels of PlsEtn and PlsCho bearing DHA and DHAP-AT expression was observed in a mouse model of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and cholesterol accumulation was induced in the livers of heterozygous DHAP-AT gene-deficient mice [171]. The gene discussed is GNPAT; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
