This review discusses new findings for the roles of TNFR1 and TNFR2 in the development of aggressive lung squamous cell carcinoma and lung adenocarcinoma by diverse signaling pathways in lung epithelial tumor cells and leukocytes participating in immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment generation in animal models. The gene discussed is TNFRSF1A; the disease is squamous cell lung carcinoma.
