Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a transmembrane glycoprotein type II encoded by the Folate Hydrolase 1 gene [32] expressed in prostate cancer but also on the membrane of neovascular endothelial cells of various solid tumors, such as thyroid, head, bladder, lung, breast, gynecologic, gastric, and colorectal cancers [33] (Figure 1). The gene discussed is FOLH1; the disease is prostate cancer.
