On the contrary, miR-137 targeting SLC1A5 in melanoma cells [89], miR-150-5p targeting SLC38A1 during pulmonary fibrosis [92], and miR-15b-5p and miR-190a-5p targeting GLS2 in pancreatic β-cells and rat cardiomyocyte cells [93,95] inhibit ferroptosis by blocking glutaminolysis and lipid synthesis, whereas lncZFAS1 acts as a competitive endogenous RNA to block miR-150-5p to facilitate ferroptosis during pulmonary fibrosis [92]. The gene discussed is SLC1A5; the disease is pulmonary fibrosis.
