Measurement of H&E sections showed reduced TA cross-sectional diameter (CSD) and cross-sectional area (CSA) in e-RA compared with healthy groups (82.94 ± 3.16 mm2 vs. 107.9 ± 2.23 mm2 healthy CSA and 7.85 ± 0.26 mm vs. 6.39 ± 0.22 mm healthy CSD, p < 0.001 and p = 0.0013, respectively) (Figure 2C,D), and TOFA reverted these parameters (112.9 ± 3.55 mm2 vs. 82.94 ± 3.16 mm2 e-RA CSA and 8.24 ± 0.21 mm vs. 6.39 ± 0.22 mm e-RA CSD, both p < 0.001) (Figure 2C,D).
