Previously, we described elevated levels of cytokines/chemokines such as IL-18, IFN-γ, CXCL-10, CXCL-9, G-CSF, IL-6, CXCL-1, VEGF, and PDGF-BB in plasma samples of tuberculosis (TB) patients with active pulmonary disease [29,30]. The gene discussed is CXCL9; the disease is tuberculosis.
