As baseline characteristics were different between the sexes, we performed a full multivariate model adjusted for age, initial hs-cTnT, and presence of common cardiovascular risk factors (including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, atrial fibrillation, hypothyroidism, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, ischemic heart disease, and smoking), yielding no significant difference as well (Supplementary Materials). This evidence concerns the gene TNNT2 and chronic kidney disease.
