Values for the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and hemoglobin concentrations were lower than the normal range in 30 (16.0%) and 41 (21.9%) of our COVID-19 patients, respectively, whereas those for circulating B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), troponin, C-reactive protein (CRP), ferritin, interleukin-6, and d-dimer were higher than the normal range in 16 (8.6%), 11 (5.9%), 97 (51.9%), 97 (51.9%), 181 (96.8%), and 94 (50.3%) patients, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
