Significant predictors of 1-year mortality in the univariate analysis included age ≥ 75 years, NYHA class ≥ 3, history of a device infection, AF, the type of pulse generator exchange (either CRT-D replacement or CRT-D upgrade compared to ICD exchange), LVEF ≤ 30%, an increase in estimated systolic pulmonary artery pressure (SPAP, per 1 mm Hg increment), eGFR ≤ 30 mL/min/1.73 m2 and Hb ≤ 7 mmol/L (Table 4 and Figure 3).
