Upregulated gene 4 (URG4), also called an upregulator of cell proliferation (URGCP), is a 3607 kb mRNA oncogene located on chromosome 7p13 that has been implicated in the progression of several tumours, including hepatocellular cancer [10], ovarian cancer [11], gastric cancer [12], bladder cancer [13], glioblastoma [14], non-small cell lung cancer [15], medullary thyroid cancer [16], prostate cancer [17] and leukaemia [18]. This evidence concerns the gene URGCP and ovarian carcinoma.
