Compared to adjacent normal tissues using TCGA datasets, a significant up-regulation of AKAP8L expression was observed in 12 cancer types, such as bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), COAD, esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), renal chromophobe (HNSC), KIRC, LIHC, lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), READ, and stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) (Figure 1C).
