Some studies demonstrated that the application of ACEI and ARB might reduce CRC incidence, polyp formation, and metastasis and prevent the development of CRC via a mechanism involving inhibition of angiotensin-converting enzyme activity, angiotensin II synthesis, and the epidermal growth factor receptor expression (Kedika et al., 2011; Makar et al., 2014; Childers, 2015; Asgharzadeh et al., 2018; Nakamura et al., 2018;Cheung et al., 2020a).
