Of note, development of vitiligo seems to be specific of cutaneous melanoma, as it is rarely reported as an irAE during other tumor type treatments (5); antibodies and CD8+ T lymphocytes directed against melanocyte-specific antigens have been identified in both cases, suggesting that, in cutaneous melanoma, vitiligo appearance could reflect a broad immune cell activation, also effective against cancer cells (6). Here, CD8A is linked to cutaneous melanoma.
