IFNG and infection: Peak IFNγ concentrations seen at 7 d.p.i. with bradyzoites and FTz-parasites follow normal kinetics (25), while IFNγ in STz-parasites’ infections confirms successful infection and parasite replication but the reduction in IFNγ concentrations and delay in kinetics were consistent with the significantly lower parasite burden in mice infected with these parasites (Fig. 7A).
