Consistent with this, we also observed a profound downregulation of genes regulating tight junctions, namely, CLDN1 (De Benedetto et al., 2011), PARD3 (Ali et al., 2016), and TIAM1 (Mertens et al., 2005), another hallmark of AD (Supplementary Figure S2B).
