Next, we performed dose–response studies against the panel of drugs identified as active against rubella in A549 cells and found that almost all of the drugs that were active in HBMEC were also active in Jeg-3 cells: the NAMPT inhibitors (STF-118804, GMX1778, and daporinad), the PIKfyve inhibitors (APY0201 and apilimod), the IMPDH inhibitor mycophenolic acid, and the BCL2 inhibitor obatoclax.
