The antiproliferative effects of the synthetic compounds were evaluated by the sulforhodamine B (SRB) assay against seven different cancer cell lines, including AsPC-1 and Mia-Paca-2 pancreatic cancer, EBC-1 lung cancer with MET gene amplification, MKN-45 gastric cancer with MET gene amplification, HT-29 colorectal cancer cells as well as K562 leukemia cells. This evidence concerns the gene MET and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
