Recent studies have systematically profiled m6A modifications on KSHV RNA transcripts, which identified unique and conserved m6A modifications across different infection systems and viral replication phases, and elucidated the functions of m6A-related proteins including FTO, YTHDC1, YTHDF2, YTHDF3, METTL3, RBM15 and SND1 in KSHV life cycle [21, 23–26]. The gene discussed is YTHDF2; the disease is infection.
