LEP and diabetes mellitus: We found a statistically higher concentration of leptin in the group of children with newly diagnosed diabetes compared to the children in the DM1n group (11.19 ± 52.16 vs 7.75 ± 7.94 ng/mL, p=0.046) and lower than in healthy children (11.19 ± 52.16 vs 20.94 ± 23.29 ng/mL, p<0.001).
