TG and thyroid cancer: TSH suppression therapy is a therapeutic intervention in thyroid cancer after thyroidectomy and 131I therapy that can slow the growth of thyroid cancer cells and lead to Tg decline by maintaining subnormal TSH levels.30 Of the clinical and biochemical factors selected in the present study, our study presented initial solid proof that the evidence of thyroid remnant on Rx-WBS of the last course of 131I therapy and high TSH clearly identify those patients who may benefit from TSH suppression therapy.
