IL6 and periodontitis: Besides, studies have shown that MIAT is upregulated in periodontitis tissues and can promote inflammation by regulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6 and TNF-α, through the NF-κB signaling pathway, which suggests that MIAT/ NF-κB pathway may become a new target for periodontitis treatment [38, 56].Therefore, the 10 core periodontitis-associated necroptosis lncRNAs selected through bioinformatics techniques in this study have certain clinical significance and can provide new references for the diagnosis and treatment of periodontitis.
