SAMHD1 and neoplasm: Several promising strategies are currently being evaluated in the post-neoadjuvant setting, such as immunotherapy and targeted therapies, whose success is linked to a more precise knowledge of the tumor molecular and genomic characteristics together with the characterization of the immune infiltration landscape. Based on both the clinical importance of SAMHD1 and the detailed knowledge of its functions and regulation mechanisms, SAMHD1 may become an interesting target for cancer treatment.
