S100B and melanoma: In our study, M1d stage (HR 3.43 [95% CI 1.70; 6.89] vs. M1a stage), M1c stage (HR 2.17 [95% CI 1.27; 3.72] vs. M1a stage), pT4b stage (HR 2.77 [95% CI 1.07; 7.19] vs. T1a stage), elevated serum S100B levels (HR 1.87 [95% CI 1.17; 2.99] vs. normal S100B) and elevated LDH levels (HR 1.57 [95% CI 1.01; 2.45] vs. normal LDH) independently were associated with a risk of death in advanced melanoma patients treated with anti-PD-1 (Table 2).
