Multiple studies have shown that DEK is upregulated in a variety of malignant conditions, such as acute myelocytic leukemia(AML) (31–33), melanoma (34), hepatocellular carcinoma (35), retinoblastoma (36, 37), urinary bladder cancer (38, 39), glioblastoma (40), and oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) (41). This evidence concerns the gene DEK and glioblastoma.
