Bioinformatics analyses and other studies have indicated that SGK1 is regulated by FOSL2 and is involved in the development of renal fibrosis.[20] To evaluate the crosstalk between FOSL2 and SGK1 in renal fibrosis, we initially examined the mRNA and protein expression levels of SGK1 in HK-2 cells with FOSL2 knockdown or overexpression. The gene discussed is FOSL2; the disease is renal fibrosis.
