FGF21 and diabetes mellitus: Compared with Model 1, which included the noninvasive factors of sex, age, BMI, waistline, and SBP, Model 2, which added FGF-21, significantly increased the AUC from 0.668 (95% CI: 0.602–0.733) to 0.715 (95% CI: 0.654–0.777) (P = 0.011), demonstrating the value of FGF-21 in assessing the risk of diabetes.
