HOXB9 and malignant colon neoplasm: HOXB9 plays a critical role in many human solid cancers and its aberrant expression drives tumor formation.[22] High levels of HOXB9 have been associated with poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma,[23] poor OS in colon cancer,[24] high cancer grade and poor OS in breast cancer,[25] and vascular infiltration and poor OS in hepatocellular carcinoma.[5] In our pan-cancer analysis, we found that HOXB9 expression was elevated in various tumor types with broadly similar prognostic results.
